We are not looking for an operator who simply waits for something to happen. We are looking for someone who can keep an overview from the control room, while also being happy to step onto the production floor to solve minor technical issues themselves.
The company you will be working for makes sure everyone can enjoy high-quality chicken products. The Nijkerk location is a chicken processing facility, not a slaughterhouse. Here, chicken is cut, packaged and ultimately supplied to supermarkets and well-known chicken restaurants.
The company is continuously investing in automation. With the arrival of a new machine, they are looking for an experienced operator who will be responsible for operating and controlling it. The machine ensures that the meat is cut to the correct size, weighed accurately, packed into the right tray and prepared for shipment.
You will work 38 hours per week in a 2-shift schedule, consisting of early shifts (05:30–14:00) and afternoon/evening shifts (14:30–23:00). The early shift is worked on weekdays, with a maximum of two Saturdays per month during daytime hours.
As an operator, you are responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of an automated production line for sorting and packaging chicken. You combine technical knowledge with process insight to keep the line running efficiently, hygienically, and with minimal waste.
Your responsibilities as an operator include:
Operating the equipment from the control room;
Setting batch parameters and sorting programs using Innova;
Performing process checks in the production environment;
Carrying out first-line maintenance, such as replacing grippers, cleaning conveyor belts, and calibrating weighing units;
Checking the hygiene status of critical components, such as filling hoppers and motor housings;
Troubleshooting and resolving malfunctions.
Gross monthly salary starting up until €3,700;
12.5% shift allowance;
8.33% holiday allowance;
2.15% year-end bonus;
Travel allowance;
Participation in various training and development programs.
MBO Level 3 qualification in Process Technology (VAPRO B), Mechatronics, or a comparable qualification;
Work experience as an operator in the food industry;
Knowledge of process automation and production logistics is a plus;
Experience with Innova software is a plus;
Willingness to work in shifts;
Strong communication and administrative skills.
